T.I. is pulling back the curtain on what he considers the one part of his recent back-and-forth with 50 Cent that he genuinely regrets: watching his son, King Harris, get pulled into the mix.
In a sit-down on The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show, the Atlanta rapper stated around the 7-minute mark, that he did not enjoy seeing King and Domani release diss tracks amid the feud, stressing that he got “zero enjoyment” out of it, especially where King was concerned. Tip said he has spent years trying to keep King from “going off the ledge” online, and that the 50 Cent situation gave him “justifiable” reason to backslide into the exact kind of behavior T.I. has tried to train out of him.
He went on to acknowledge a complicated upside, saying that he was proud his sons stood up for their mother, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, after 50 Cent circulated a series of now-deleted memes targeting her. He framed the family’s posture as protection rather than ego, describing himself as “logical” and “reasonable,” but emphasizing that his household needed to see “a line of men” willing to defend their own “against who-the f—k ever.”
Still, the What You Know rapper pointed to a specific moment where he felt things crossed an irreversible line: when his son King appeared wearing a shirt featuring a photo of 50 Cent’s late mother. TI said that was when he told his son, “that’s enough,” adding he’s big on treating people how he wants to be treated and that “response” logic is not a justification for taking it there.
Why are T.I and 50 Cent Feuding?
The short version: it is an old tension getting re-lit by the internet, tracing back to years-old “snitch” talk by 50 Cent tied to T.I.’s legal history. The situation flared up again in 2020 during T.I.’s rollout, where he publicly challenged 50 Cent about Verzuz Talk and called him out for ducking the rap battle. In response, 50 Cent went into classic troll mode, posting old clips tied to T.I’s paperwork, then turning it personal by dragging T.I’s wife Tiny Harris online, resulting in the kids jumping in, making it a full family pile-on instead of just rapper vs. rapper.
However, T.I.’s recent comments on The Ebro Laura Rosenberg Show suggest the situation may finally be cooling.
