The Benzino and Althea saga may have taken another turn.
As seen in videos posted by LiveBitez last night, Benzino was reportedly taken into custody and escorted away by authorities while arguing back at a woman speaking off-camera. In the clip, the woman can be heard saying, “He does not have custody of the child,” before also claiming that “he had kidnapped their son.” Commenters on the post identified the child in question as Zino, Benzino’s son with Althea Heart.
The update lands only weeks after Benzino was back in headlines over another custody-related clash. Earlier this month, the former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star claimed he was hospitalized after an altercation involving Althea and their son, with reports saying he alleged he was struck by a car during the dispute.
That history between them goes back years. Benzino and Althea Heart became a public couple during Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, where Althea joined the cast in season 3 as his girlfriend. Benzino proposed to her in 2014 and they later welcomed their son in November 2015. The pair soon broke up but continued making headlines over co-parenting and legal drama. The two also appeared together on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars after leaving the VH1 franchise.
Their more recent fallout has been messy in public. In late 2025, Benzino made online claims about Althea’s mental health and their custody situation, while Althea also appeared in social posts accusing him of refusing to return their son.
Both parties have yet to address the events seen in the video.
