Pooh Shiesty has sparked attention with a cryptic Instagram Story as he awaits trial in a federal kidnapping and robbery case.
On May 31, the rapper, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., posted a brief message that read, “1,2,3 not it.”
The post included no further context.
Williams is currently facing a federal case in the Northern District of Texas. Prosecutors allege the case involved a kidnapping and robbery tied to an associate of Gucci Mane.
The phrase “not it” is commonly used in childhood games to avoid being chosen for an unwanted task. It can also mean “that’s not me,” “I’m not involved,” or “I’m not taking the blame.”
The post came after Williams’ attorneys filed an unopposed motion asking the court to classify the case as complex.
According to the filing, the defense has received more than 96 gigabytes of discovery, including about 14,000 pages of documents, along with audio and video evidence from multiple law enforcement agencies.
Both prosecutors and defense counsel agreed that more time is needed and requested a revised scheduling order.
The case has also drawn attention because of Gucci Mane. After Pooh Shiesty was denied bond in April, Gucci released “Crash Dummy,” a track that appeared to reference the alleged Dallas studio incident.
Before his arrest, Pooh Shiesty was preparing to release his upcoming album, Shiesty Summer ’26.
