Yung Miami is setting the bar high for her next chapter.

The former City Girls rapper says she still plans to tour behind her upcoming solo project, but she is not interested in hitting the road until she can deliver the kind of show she believes fans deserve.

During an appearance on “Way Up With Angela Yee,” Yung Miami addressed her recent departure from BossMan Dlow’s tour and explained that the setback has not changed her long-term plans.

“I do want to go on tour, but I just think it needs to be the right tour at the right time,” she said.

For Miami, the goal is bigger than simply performing a run of shows.

She wants her next tour to feel like a major event.

Yung Miami Says She Wants to Tour Like Beyoncé

Miami revealed that she has been preparing physically for the demands of a larger live production, including spending more time in the gym.

“That’s why I’m in the gym working out,” she explained. “I want to make sure that I put on a show.”

She then made it clear who she is using as inspiration.

“I’m coming like Beyoncé,” Miami said. “I want to give it my all.”

The comparison quickly caught attention given Beyoncé’s reputation for highly choreographed performances, elaborate staging and large-scale production.

Miami appears to be aiming for that same level of commitment as she moves deeper into her solo career.

“Spend Dat” Helps Build Momentum for Yung Miami’s Solo Era

The touring comments come as “Spend Dat” continues to gain momentum.

The track has become one of Miami’s biggest releases since stepping into a more independent lane outside of City Girls and has helped establish the sound she is developing as a solo artist.

Miami recently signed with the relaunched Uptown Records as she prepares for her forthcoming debut solo project.

While she has not yet announced a release date for the album, the success of “Spend Dat” has given fans an early look at what could be coming next.

The song has also become an important part of Miami’s push to build her own identity outside of the duo that helped make her a major name in Southern rap.

Yung Miami Prepares for Life After City Girls

Yung Miami and JT rose to prominence together as City Girls, becoming one of the most recognizable female rap duos of their generation.

In recent years, however, both artists have increasingly focused on their individual careers.

For Miami, that transition has included new music, a new label situation and plans to eventually headline her own live show.

She has not announced official tour dates yet, but her comments suggest she is already thinking about the scale and presentation of the production.

Rather than rushing back onto the road, Miami says she wants to wait until the timing and circumstances are right.
