Chief Keef gave the stadium a particularly fitting Chicago moment, joining Ye as the hometown crowd erupted.
Lupe Fiasco also revisited a classic from Ye’s early catalog by performing his verse from “Touch the Sky.”
Backstage, even more Chicago Hip-Hop history came together when Common, Lupe Fiasco, Twista and Big Sean posed together for a photo.

The first Soldier Field show was already packed with surprises.
Ye opened the night with “Homecoming,” an obvious choice for his return to Chicago.
Big Sean later joined him for “Clique,” while 2 Chainz came out for “Mercy.”
Chicago veteran Twista delivered another hometown moment with performances of “Slow Jamz” and “Overnight Celebrity.”
Future also made an appearance before Ye eventually brought the first night to a close with “Runaway.”
Lil Durk Gets an Emotional Soldier Field Moment
Ye also paid tribute to fellow Chicago rapper Lil Durk during the hometown run.
Before playing “All My Life,” Ye played a voice message from Durk for the Soldier Field crowd.
Thousands of fans then joined together for a massive singalong as the record played through the stadium.

Across the two nights, Ye effectively turned Soldier Field into a timeline of his career.
Artists connected to his earliest Chicago years shared the stage with GOOD Music collaborators, longtime friends and some of the biggest rappers from the generation Ye later influenced.
The concerts were also notable for what was happening behind the scenes.
The Chicago dates were part of Ye’s 2026 live stadium tour, with the U.S. run being promoted independently rather than through touring giants like Live Nation or AEG.
