Ye and Ty Dolla $ign may have reignited one of hip-hop’s longest-running unreleased song conversations.

For years, “New Body” has lived in rap fan circles as one of Ye’s most talked-about leaks. The track, originally tied to Ye’s unreleased Yandhi era, featured Ty Dolla $ign and Nicki Minaj, but it never received an official release. Since then, the song has continued to resurface through leaks, listening party clips and online speculation.

Now, fans think the record may have another twist.

During a recent Ty Dolla $ign livestream, the singer appeared to play part of “New Body” before quickly stopping when a different vocal section came in. Listeners immediately noticed that the voice did not sound like Nicki Minaj and instead appeared to resemble Ice Spice. The brief moment was enough to send social media into speculation mode, with fans questioning whether Ye and Ty are preparing a newer version of the track.

As of now, neither Ye, Ty Dolla $ign nor Ice Spice has officially confirmed a release.

The possible Ice Spice version is especially interesting because “New Body” has already gone through several public chapters. The song first gained major attention after surfacing online in 2019, becoming a fan favorite from Ye’s unreleased catalog. It was later expected by some listeners to appear during different album rollouts, including the Vultures era, but the record continued to remain shelved.

Nicki Minaj’s involvement has also been central to the track’s history. Her verse became one of the reasons fans kept asking for the song, but clearance issues and creative differences reportedly prevented the original version from officially dropping. Over time, that made “New Body” feel less like a regular unreleased record and more like a myth inside Ye’s catalog.

Ice Spice’s rumored involvement now gives the song a new layer. If her verse is actually part of a newer version, it could mean Ye and Ty Dolla $ign are still experimenting with ways to bring the track back. It could also simply be an unfinished edit that was never intended for release.

That uncertainty is exactly why the conversation keeps growing.

“New Body” has become one of those records that refuses to disappear, even without an official drop.
