Yaya Mayweather’s birthday celebration reportedly turned into a full-on fight night in Houston.
The daughter of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. went viral after footage surfaced showing her involved in a chaotic brawl during what was supposed to be a birthday outing. The altercation allegedly involved women connected to Jazlyn Mychelle, the wife of Yaya’s ex, NBA YoungBoy.
In the clips circulating online, Yaya, whose full name is Iyanna Mayweather, can be seen throwing punches and kicks as the situation quickly spirals. Early social media posts claimed she was overwhelmed and did not fight back, but clearer footage appears to show a different version of the scene.
While Yaya does look outnumbered during parts of the melee, she is also seen trying to defend herself before security eventually steps in and separates the group.
The women involved have been alleged online to be Jazlyn Mychelle’s sisters, though that detail has not been officially confirmed. It is also still unclear what sparked the confrontation after the Houston birthday party. According to reports, the parties had been going back and forth on social media for months before things turned physical.
The viral fight immediately brought extra attention because of Yaya’s past legal history. She was previously placed on probation in connection with the 2020 stabbing case involving NBA YoungBoy’s ex, Lapattra Jacobs. She was recently released from probation, which made the new fight footage even more alarming to fans watching the situation unfold online.
Police reportedly have no record of a call to the address connected to the incident.
Still, the internet wasted no time reacting. Some users joked about the irony of Floyd Mayweather’s daughter being caught in another public fight, while others pushed back and said the footage showed Yaya was clearly outnumbered.
