In the clips circulating online, Yaya, whose full name is Iyanna Mayweather, can be seen throwing punches and kicks as the situation quickly spirals. Early social media posts claimed she was overwhelmed and did not fight back, but clearer footage appears to show a different version of the scene.

While Yaya does look outnumbered during parts of the melee, she is also seen trying to defend herself before security eventually steps in and separates the group.

The women involved have been alleged online to be Jazlyn Mychelle’s sisters, though that detail has not been officially confirmed. It is also still unclear what sparked the confrontation after the Houston birthday party.
