Papoose is pushing back on Remy Ma’s claim that he cheated on her with Claressa Shields, saying the timeline being floated online is flat-out wrong. In a clip from his interview with DJ Vlad, the rapper said he and Shields did not meet until July 2024 and called the cheating narrative “false.”
According to Papoose, the two first crossed paths at a Shakur Stevenson fight in New Jersey. He said Shields messaged him the next day, and pointed to the date stamps in their DMs as proof of when their connection actually began.
The clip arrives after months of messy back-and-forth between Papoose, Remy Ma, and Shields. Their split blew up publicly in December 2024, when Remy accused Papoose of cheating and posted screenshots allegedly involving Shields, while Papoose fired back with accusations of his own and said he had been asking for a divorce.
The drama picked back up again this month after Remy dropped a new freestyle, “W.Y.F.L.,” which many listeners took as another shot at both Papoose and Shields. Around the same time, social media started dissecting the timeline of Papoose and Shields’ relationship all over again, which is what made his VladTV response land even harder.
Papoose’s main point was simple: whatever happened between him and Shields, he says it did not begin the way Remy described it. Whether that settles anything is another story, but he is now publicly standing on the date and using it to reject the cheating allegation outright.
