Megan Thee Stallion’s Broadway moment turned emotional this weekend.

The rapper appeared on stage during Moulin Rouge! The Musical on April 25, where she is currently performing as Zidler. As the crowd erupted in applause during the end of the show, Megan appeared visibly emotional and fought back tears while taking in the cheers.

The moment came just hours after Megan confirmed her split from Klay Thompson earlier this week. In a statement to TMZ, she said, “I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

Before the statement, Megan had also posted an Instagram Story that appeared to accuse Thompson of cheating.

The breakup quickly turned into a wider online storm after social media users began speculating that WNBA player Lexie Brown was somehow involved. Brown later shut the rumors down on Instagram, writing, “I’ve seen what’s being said online, and I want to be clear, none of it is true, and I have no involvement in this situation.

Megan and Thompson had gone public with their relationship in 2025 and made their red carpet debut at her foundation’s gala in July. Their split now arrives after months of public appearances, fan attention and what had seemed like one of Megan’s most visible relationships in recent years.

With Klay yet to publicly respond to the cheating allegations, Megan’s emotional Broadway appearance has only added more attention to a breakup that is already dominating social media.
