Lady Gaga doesn’t just walk the runway — she owns it. And this time, she’s bringing Doechii along for the strut.

The two artists have dropped the music video for “Runway,” a slick, fashion-heavy visual directed by Parris Goebel that leans fully into couture fantasy. The track is tied to the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada 2, and the video plays like a front-row seat to chaos behind the scenes of Milan Fashion Week — models prepping, stylists scrambling, and two stars stealing the spotlight.

From the jump, it’s all about presence. Lady Gaga and Doechii rotate through a rapid-fire lineup of custom looks — from sculptural gowns to sharp twin suits — before the video builds to its final moment: both artists stepping out and commanding the runway themselves. It’s less a performance, more a statement.

The fashion is as loud as the attitude. Designers like Claire Sullivan, LUAR, and Robert Wun make appearances through custom pieces, while the duo even sync up in matching platform heels — a visual nod to the kind of excess the Prada universe thrives on.

The track itself is already picking up momentum. “Runway” pulled in nearly 3 million unfiltered streams on Spotify, debuting at No. 32 globally and cracking the U.S. chart at No. 25 with over 700,000 streams — a strong start for a song that doubles as a film tie-in.

That film, The Devil Wears Prada 2, brings back Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly, now navigating a shrinking print industry while clashing with Emily Blunt’s character — a former assistant turned powerful executive holding the ad dollars Priestly needs to survive.

Off-camera, the respect between Gaga and Doechii runs just as deep. Speaking to British Vogue, Gaga called Doechii’s artistry “immediately legendary,” pointing to her raw lyricism and emotional precision as something that “struck [her] to the core.”

The collaboration didn’t come out of nowhere either. Doechii previously honored Gaga with the Innovator Award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards — a full-circle moment that now plays out in high fashion, high stakes, and a video that knows exactly what it’s selling.
