Karlissa Saffold Harvey is defending her granddaughter Journey Porter, better known online as Pinkface, after the toddler’s viral behavior sparked a heated debate across social media.
During an appearance on The TMZ Podcast, Blueface’s mother pushed back against claims that Journey is simply rude or badly behaved. According to Karlissa, the 3-year-old naturally switches into “performance mode” whenever cameras are around.
She believes Journey’s confidence, humor and larger-than-life personality are signs that she was made for entertainment.
Karlissa Says Pinkface’s Personality Makes Her a Star
Karlissa explained that Journey has always been comfortable in front of the camera and already has professional support behind her growing interest in entertainment.
She revealed that the toddler has both an agent and a coach helping develop her natural talent.
Rather than viewing Journey’s dramatic reactions as a problem, Karlissa believes those same qualities could help her become successful in the future.
She also addressed the child’s use of curse words in several viral clips. Karlissa admitted that family members may have become too comfortable using certain language around Journey, causing her to repeat what she hears.
She specifically mentioned Journey’s mother, Jaidyn Alexis, while explaining that children often absorb words and behavior from the adults around them.
Karlissa’s latest comments come after a livestream involving Blueface and his family placed Journey at the center of another online debate.
During the viral exchange, Journey reportedly told Karlissa to get out of her house. Karlissa responded by reminding her granddaughter that she does not pay any bills in the home.
The situation became more tense when Journey allegedly hit Karlissa’s arm several times. Karlissa corrected her behavior and gave her a light tap on the backside.
The clip quickly divided social media, with some users supporting Karlissa’s decision to discipline the toddler and others questioning whether the moment should have happened on camera.
Karlissa Saffold Tells Critics to Stay Out of Family Business
As the criticism continued, Karlissa made it clear that she was not interested in receiving parenting advice from strangers online.
She later shared information about California’s child-discipline laws and reminded followers that she has already raised three children of her own.
Karlissa also warned critics against involving themselves in private family matters without knowing the full context.
Now that Journey’s language and viral personality are once again being discussed, Karlissa appears determined to change the narrative.
