Kanye West and Big Sean may have finally closed the book on one of hip-hop’s longest-running label feuds.

The two rappers reunited Thursday night at Soldier Field in Chicago, where Ye surprised the crowd by bringing out his former G.O.O.D. Music protégé during the show.

Before Sean appeared, Kanye told the audience he “had to bring my homie from the D out.”

Moments later, Big Sean rose onto the massive globe-shaped stage and joined Ye for a run of songs that instantly sent the crowd into a frenzy.

The reunion comes years after the pair publicly exchanged shots over loyalty, politics and Sean’s time on Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label.

Kanye and Sean kicked things off with their 2012 collaboration “Clique,” one of the biggest records from the G.O.O.D. Music era.

Sean then performed his hit “I Don’t F* With You,”** before 2 Chainz joined the pair for a performance of “Mercy.”

The moment immediately stood out because Kanye and Sean’s relationship had been strained for years.

While neither artist delivered a lengthy speech about their past issues, the surprise appearance made it clear that whatever tension remained between them has seemingly been put aside.

The bad blood between Kanye and Big Sean exploded publicly in 2021 during Ye’s appearance on the “Drink Champs” podcast.

At the time, Kanye made one of his harshest comments about Sean, claiming that signing him to G.O.O.D. Music was among the biggest mistakes he had ever made.

Ye even joked that his tombstone should say he deserved to be there because he signed Big Sean.

The comments stunned fans considering the pair’s long history together.

Sean had spent more than a decade signed to G.O.O.D. Music and appeared on numerous projects connected to Kanye’s label and creative circle.

Part of Kanye’s frustration reportedly stemmed from Sean and John Legend not publicly supporting his 2020 presidential campaign.

Ye accused both artists of turning their backs on him despite their previous professional relationship.

Sean did not stay quiet.

He later responded to Kanye’s remarks and described them as “b**** ass s***,” while also disputing some of Ye’s claims about their business relationship.

Sean eventually left G.O.O.D. Music after roughly 14 years with the label.

Sean also previously suggested that his departure from G.O.O.D. Music involved unresolved financial issues.

During interviews following Kanye’s comments, Sean claimed he had walked away from significant money tied to the label arrangement and insisted there was more to the story than what the public had heard.

The situation fueled speculation that the relationship between the two artists might be permanently damaged.

For years, there were few public signs that they had completely repaired things.

That made their Chicago reunion even more surprising.

Now, the pair seem to be moving in a much different direction.

Rather than revisiting their old issues, Kanye introduced Sean as his “homie,” and the two performed together as if their feud had become a thing of the past.

For longtime fans of the G.O.O.D. Music era, the moment also carried some nostalgia.

Songs like “Clique” and “Mercy” helped define Kanye’s label run during the early 2010s, with Sean becoming one of the imprint’s biggest breakout stars.

Their reunion does not necessarily mean the two will begin working together regularly again, but it is the clearest sign yet that the public feud has cooled.
