Deshae Frost is responding after a viral clip appeared to show him getting physical with a woman during what he says was an older shoot.
The video began circulating on April 11 across X and Instagram, quickly setting off backlash online. In the post sharing the clip, the uploader wrote, “The Reason I quit Directing 10 Episode Series on YouTube. No Man should ever hit a Woman,” framing the footage as the reason they walked away from the project.

Frost addressed the controversy the next day in a 15-minute YouTube video titled Addressing The Video, where he claimed the footage was from 2022 or 2023 and said the situation had been building throughout filming. According to Frost, the woman involved had been “physical” with him during the shoot, and he said the tension escalated as the day went on.
He also admitted he had been drinking at the time. “It just got to a point where I kind of didn’t want to deal with that s**t, and you know, I was drunk,” he said, while insisting he was not trying to seriously hurt her. Frost denied slapping the woman and argued that the angle of the clip makes the moment look worse than he believes it was, saying he “mushed” her and that the footage had been cut in a misleading way.
The video continues to circulate, and the response has been sharply divided. Some viewers say Frost’s explanation does not change what the clip appears to show, while others have focused on his claim that the footage is edited and missing context. A woman claiming to be the person in the video has also spoken out online, alleging Frost hit her after she refused to be independent, though that claim has not been independently verified.
