Tyrese Gibson received an outpouring of support from fans after sharing a vulnerable message about his emotional state on Instagram.
In a post that has since been deleted, the Fast & Furious actor asked followers around the world to pray for him as he struggled with mounting personal and financial pressure.
“Stretch your hands out please and pray for me,” text displayed over the video read. “I really feel discouraged and feel like I’m about to lose my mind.”
Tyrese expanded on those feelings in the caption, explaining that the public’s perception of someone’s life may not reflect what they are privately experiencing.
“Perception versus reality is a very real thing,” he wrote before asking people of all faiths to send him prayers and positive energy.
The 47-year-old entertainer acknowledged that many celebrities might hesitate to share such a personal message publicly. However, he said he had reached a point where staying silent no longer felt possible.
Tyrese described himself as being “on the brink” while feeling overwhelmed, deeply stressed and pushed beyond his usual limits.

According to the singer and actor, problems had been affecting him from several directions, including mentally, emotionally, psychologically and financially.
Tyrese explained that he typically has a high tolerance for pain and often continues smiling even when he is privately struggling. This time, however, he admitted that his usual approach was no longer working.
“But right now, I’m empty. I’m depleted. My soul is tired,” he wrote.
The Sweet Lady singer also noted that he is normally the person offering encouragement and support to others. In his message, he said he now desperately needed someone to provide that same support for him.
“I need somebody to be there for me,” Tyrese continued, urging followers to take his words seriously.

He made it clear that he was not asking fans for money or material assistance. Instead, he requested prayer, love, encouragement, positive energy and genuine emotional support.
“What I’m carrying is heavy, very heavy, and I don’t believe I can continue carrying all of it alone,” he wrote.
Tyrese also reflected on the role pride can play in preventing people from admitting when they are struggling. He said honesty was necessary in that moment, even if making the post left him feeling exposed.
The entertainer encouraged followers to leave prayers in the comment section so he could personally read their messages.
Fans quickly responded by offering words of encouragement and reminding Tyrese that asking for help does not make someone weak. Others praised him for speaking openly about feeling emotionally exhausted despite maintaining a successful public image.
Tyrese has previously been candid about difficult moments in his personal life, including financial disputes, family challenges and the emotional toll of highly publicized legal battles.
His latest message did not identify one specific incident that triggered the post. Instead, he suggested that the pressure had been building across several areas of his life.
Although Tyrese later removed the video, his request continued circulating across social media as supporters expressed concern and sent prayers his way.
