Tyreek Hill is finally addressing the bizarre viral scam investigation that unexpectedly dragged his name into the middle of it.

The Miami Dolphins star reacted after Daejon Love, a man accused by federal authorities of pretending to be an NFL player while allegedly defrauding women out of more than $1 million, reportedly claimed Hill was one of his closest friends.

Instead of giving the allegations a serious response, Hill appeared to troll the situation.

In a viral TikTok, Hill jokingly referred to Love as his “bestie” and played along with claims that the two had supposedly trained together.

Hill even joked that Love “ran like a 4.2” and was “really nasty,” appearing to make light of the alleged connection rather than confirm any real friendship between them.

Love allegedly used connections to recognizable NFL names to strengthen the image he presented to women.

According to reports, one piece of content involving Hill was viewed millions of times online and was allegedly used by Love to support claims that he had legitimate ties to professional football.

Hill’s response appeared to poke fun at that narrative.

He also joked that videos of Love circulating on the beach were probably just him “trolling and having a good time.”

Hill was not the only NFL name Love allegedly mentioned.

Authorities and reports say Love also claimed relationships with former NFL players including Antonio Brown and John Brown.

John Brown was considerably less playful when he saw the claims.

“Boy I never met you stop all that lying!!” Brown reportedly wrote on Facebook.

The allegations surrounding Love go far beyond pretending to know professional athletes.

Federal prosecutors allege Love maintained a false NFL identity from approximately 2022 until his arrest on August 24, 2026, in Boise, Idaho.

Investigators claim the alleged persona was used as part of romance and investment schemes targeting roughly 26 women.

Authorities estimate the women collectively lost approximately $1.3 million.

Love allegedly presented himself as a professional football player with major NFL connections and significant personal wealth.

Authorities claim Love allegedly took extensive steps to make the story believable.

That reportedly included obtaining customized San Francisco 49ers gear, creating social media content and allegedly producing fraudulent financial documentation.

Love is also accused of telling people that he had received a lucrative opportunity from the 49ers.

But the alleged backstory apparently did not stop with football.

Federal prosecutors say Love allegedly claimed he came from a wealthy Swiss family and worked in real estate.

In another variation of his alleged persona, he reportedly claimed he was related to Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Authorities have not suggested Jordan Love was involved in the alleged scheme.

Love and 18-year-old Taylor Jamie Chan have reportedly been charged federally with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud.

The allegations remain accusations, and the defendants have not been convicted of the charges.

Meanwhile, Hill’s viral response is drawing even more attention to what was already an unusual case.
