NBA YoungBoy says he has left the United States behind and is now building a new life in South Korea.
During a recent appearance on Funny Marco’s “Open Thoughts” podcast, the 26-year-old rapper revealed that he is currently living in South Korea and has no plans to move back to the U.S.
Asked whether he could ever see himself returning, YoungBoy gave a direct answer.
“Never in my life,” he said.
The Baton Rouge native, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, explained that South Korea appealed to him because it felt removed from the chaos surrounding his life back home.
“It’s out the way,” he said, adding that the country feels “very safe” and “very clean.”

Although YoungBoy is currently living in South Korea, he suggested that his long-term immigration status is still being worked out.
“It can’t be my home until they give me my visa, right?” he joked during the interview.
Still, the rapper made it clear that he sees the country as somewhere he wants to remain.
The move marks a major shift for an artist whose career and personal life have long been tied to Louisiana, Utah and a series of legal battles in the United States.

The pardon removed several remaining federal restrictions and gave the rapper greater freedom to travel after completing prior custody and home-confinement requirements.
NBA YoungBoy Opens Up About Heart Condition
YoungBoy also made a concerning revelation about his health during the podcast.
The rapper claimed that a doctor told him the left side of his heart was swollen, though he did not reveal a specific diagnosis or provide additional medical details.
According to YoungBoy, the condition has made him rethink how much longer he wants to continue making music and touring.
He suggested that he may have only “one or two” albums left before stepping away.
“That explains the music, though, right? She’s hurting,” he said while gesturing toward his chest.
YoungBoy also said he continued performing despite knowing something was wrong.
“I never told nobody, I just kept doing every show,” he said. “I finished my tour out like that.”
His comments remain based on his own account, and no independent medical documentation has been made public.

The health disclosure also came with another major statement about his career.
YoungBoy said he plans to tour only one more time before walking away from life on the road.
“I’ll go on tour one more time throughout my whole life and that’s it,” he said.
The declaration would represent a major change for one of the most commercially successful rappers of his generation.
YoungBoy has earned multiple No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and built one of hip-hop’s most dedicated streaming fanbases despite spending large portions of his career dealing with legal restrictions.
