Timbaland is facing a lawsuit from DJ E Feezy over an alleged six-figure loss connected to Missy Elliott’s 2024 “Out of This World” tour.
According to the lawsuit, E Feezy claims he had been booked to join the arena tour before being removed less than a month before it began.
The DJ alleges Timbaland then gave the position to his own son, accusing the legendary producer of replacing him through nepotism.
E Feezy says the decision cost him approximately $120,000 in expected earnings.
DJ E Feezy Claims Timbaland Replaced Him With His Son
At the center of the dispute is whether E Feezy had an enforceable agreement to participate in the tour.
The DJ claims he had already secured the booking and begun preparing for the international run when he was suddenly removed.
According to TMZ, E Feezy says he also spent money obtaining authorization to work in Canada as part of the tour preparations.
He alleges the opportunity would have paid him roughly $120,000 before Timbaland ultimately replaced him.
E Feezy is now seeking approximately $130,000 in damages, which reportedly includes both his expected tour income and expenses incurred while preparing for the shows.
E Feezy Says Timbaland Failed to Honor Settlement
The lawsuit does not only focus on the original tour dispute.
E Feezy also claims the two sides later reached a settlement intended to resolve the disagreement.
According to the DJ, Timbaland failed to comply with the terms of that settlement, prompting him to take the matter to court.
That allegation could become a major part of the case depending on whether the court determines that a valid settlement agreement existed.
Timbaland Denies DJ E Feezy’s Claims
Timbaland is pushing back on the lawsuit.
The producer has reportedly asked the court to dismiss the case, arguing that no enforceable agreement existed under the terms described by E Feezy.
He disputes the DJ’s characterization of the arrangement and denies that E Feezy is entitled to the damages being sought.
The legal dispute has also expanded beyond the DJ.
Timbaland has reportedly taken legal action against his former manager, alleging that the manager handled negotiations surrounding E Feezy’s proposed role on the tour.
Missy Elliott’s “Out of This World” Tour Becomes Focus of Legal Battle
Missy Elliott launched her “Out of This World” tour in 2024, marking one of the biggest live productions of her career.
The tour featured major arena performances and drew considerable attention for its elaborate production and lineup.
E Feezy’s lawsuit now places the behind-the-scenes staffing of that tour at the center of a separate legal battle involving Timbaland.
For now, the court has not determined whether E Feezy had an enforceable agreement or whether Timbaland violated any settlement.
