The Game and Drake are back together on wax.

The Compton rapper reunited with Drake for “No Brakes,” a new collaboration from his long-awaited album “The Documentary 3,” released Friday, August 21.

Drake handles the hook on the West Coast-heavy record, repeatedly delivering the song’s title while The Game takes over the verses.

But it is The Game’s lyrics — and his decision to team up with Drake following the Toronto rapper’s explosive feud with Kendrick Lamar — that have sparked the biggest conversation online.

On the song, Game references himself, Drake and a Draco as the “Three Amigos” before delivering another line about choosing “homicide” if forced to pick a side. The bars have led some listeners to interpret the record as another public display of loyalty to Drake.

The Game and Drake Reunite on “No Brakes”

“No Brakes” marks another chapter in a relationship between The Game and Drake that stretches back more than a decade.

The two previously collaborated on “100” in 2015, and Game has repeatedly spoken highly of Drake in the years since.

That loyalty became especially noticeable after Drake’s battle with fellow Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar turned into one of hip-hop’s biggest feuds.

Despite his hometown connection to Kendrick, Game has continued publicly showing love to Drake.

During his July Verzuz battle against YG in Los Angeles, The Game shouted out the OVO rapper before performing “100.”

“I don’t give a f*** how a n**** feel about it,” Game told the crowd while acknowledging Drake.

He has also previously described Drake as a brother and credited him with supporting his career.

Fans Think The Game Is Picking Drake’s Side

The timing of “No Brakes” has inevitably revived questions about where The Game stands in the Drake and Kendrick Lamar feud.

Game has expressed respect for Kendrick in the past, but his continued public support for Drake — combined with the pointed lyrics on his latest record — has some listeners convinced he is making his allegiance clear.

Complex similarly noted that the record appears to signal Game’s support for Drake following the battle.

Still, The Game does not directly name Kendrick on “No Brakes,” meaning interpretations of the lyrics as a diss or declaration against Lamar remain speculation.

What is clear is that Game has shown no interest in distancing himself from Drake simply because of the rapper’s feud with another major artist from Los Angeles.

TDE President Punch Reacts to “No Brakes”

The record also caught the attention of longtime Top Dawg Entertainment executive Terrence “Punch” Henderson.

Following the song’s release, Punch posted a brief reaction on X.

“The World’s really Gone Crazy,” he wrote alongside laughing emojis.

Punch did not elaborate or directly explain whether his post was aimed at Game’s lyrics, Drake’s appearance or the wider conversation surrounding the collaboration.

Still, given Punch’s longtime association with TDE and Kendrick Lamar, fans quickly began reading into the message.

“No Brakes” Appears on The Game’s “The Documentary 3”

The collaboration arrives as part of “The Documentary 3,” the latest installment in The Game’s long-running album series.

The project features an extensive guest list including Drake, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Ye, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Tyga, YG, E-40, Leon Thomas, Black Thought and others.

“No Brakes” appears as one of the album’s most talked-about tracks largely because of Drake’s presence, even though the Toronto rapper’s contribution is limited primarily to the hook.

Reaction has been mixed, with some listeners celebrating the reunion while others wished Drake had delivered a full verse.

For The Game, however, the collaboration says plenty even without one.
