Quavo and Offset could find themselves involved in a legal battle between Takeoff’s parents as a dispute over the late Migos rapper’s wrongful death settlement continues.

According to TMZ, Takeoff’s mother, Titania Davenport, has listed both rappers as potential witnesses in her ongoing case against his father, Kenneth Ball, over how the settlement money should be divided.

Davenport is also pushing to move the proceedings from Texas to Georgia, where she says several key witnesses are based.

Takeoff’s Mom Names Quavo & Offset As Potential Witnesses

In court filings, Davenport argues that Georgia would be a more practical location for the case, particularly because potential witnesses, including Quavo and Offset, live in or around Atlanta and Athens.

She maintains that keeping the proceedings in Houston would create unnecessary travel expenses for those expected to testify.

However, neither Quavo nor Offset has been confirmed as a witness, and it remains unclear whether either rapper will ultimately be required to appear in court.

The dispute centers on a settlement connected to Davenport’s wrongful death lawsuit against the Houston bowling alley where Takeoff was fatally shot in November 2022.

Takeoff’s Parents Disagree Over Settlement Money

The disagreement between Davenport and Ball involves how much of the settlement each parent should receive.

Davenport claims she maintained an exceptionally close relationship with Takeoff and was primarily responsible for raising him.

According to the filing, she provided stability throughout his childhood and continued receiving financial support from him once he became successful.

She alleges that Takeoff helped cover her bills and other expenses, making his financial contributions an important part of her life.

Davenport disputes Ball’s entitlement to a significant portion of the settlement, arguing that he was largely absent during their son's upbringing.

In the filing, she alleges that Ball provided "negligible financial support and effectively no emotional support" during Takeoff’s childhood.

These claims are part of the ongoing legal proceedings and have not been established as findings by the court.

Takeoff’s Wrongful Death Settlement Stems From 2022 Shooting

Takeoff, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and killed outside a Houston bowling alley on November 1, 2022. He was 28 years old.

His death prompted a wrongful death lawsuit against the establishment, which eventually led to the settlement now being disputed by his parents.

The civil settlement proceedings are separate from the criminal case involving Patrick Xavier Clark, who was charged with Takeoff’s murder.

While Davenport continues seeking to have the settlement dispute heard in Georgia, the possibility of Quavo and Offset testifying remains uncertain.
