King Harris found himself in police custody over the weekend after a late-night traffic stop in Georgia — and the moment quickly went viral for one unexpected detail: he was wearing a Pikachu onesie.

According to authorities, the rapper was pulled over around 1 AM on Sunday in Gwinnett County after allegedly driving 60 in a 45 zone. Officers say they spotted a firearm in the vehicle and asked Harris to step out, but claim he refused, leading to his arrest.

Police also reported finding a vape pen containing THC during the stop. Harris was subsequently booked on a felony charge for possession of a controlled substance, along with a misdemeanor count for obstruction of law enforcement. He was also cited for speeding and a seatbelt violation.

The situation didn’t stay off social media for long. Harris shared selfies from the encounter on his Instagram Stories, including one in the Pikachu outfit, joking, “Welp guess you can say they caught da Pikachu wit a master ball.”

He later posted another photo without the costume, flipping off the camera and adding a series of explicit messages directed at police.

This isn’t Harris’ first run-in with law enforcement. Back in 2024, he was arrested after allegedly nearly hitting a police car while leaving a gas station. Officers at the time reported smelling marijuana and discovered an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court, leading to his booking at DeKalb County Jail.
