Jackilyn Martinez, the mother of Soulja Boy’s son, turned a viral rent joke into a messy online exchange after Blueface decided to get involved.

The moment started when Martinez posted a video using the viral “saxophones getting louder” audio from Boyz n the Hood. In the clip, she is seen pretending to call someone several times as the dramatic music builds in the background. The caption read, “When your BD got you blocked and rent is due so the saxophone got louder.”

For context, Martinez and Soulja Boy share a three-year-old son named KeAndre. The post appeared to be a light joke about co-parenting and rent being due, but it quickly caught attention once Blueface reacted on X.

Blueface offered to pay Martinez’s rent while taking a shot at Soulja Boy. “Tell Soulja boy BM Ill pay the rent for her, I knew bro aint have it long time ago call in I gotchu Jackie,” he wrote.

After that, Martinez stepped into the comments to clear things up. She said the video was only a joke and made it clear that Soulja Boy had already handled the situation.

“Yall need to calm down. I do work, Im actually doing hair right now. Soulja took care of it and Blueface needs to pay me the lawsuit money ASAP,” Martinez commented.

Her response quickly shifted the conversation from rent money to the defamation lawsuit she previously filed against Blueface. In April 2025, Martinez was awarded a default judgment of $123,243.10 after suing Blueface over claims he made in 2022 about being the father of her son.

Martinez later returned to the comments with another message, saying she was not looking for financial help from the internet.

“I can pay my own rent. Soulja definitely gonna help with taking care of my son. I pay all of my own bills it was a joke that gone viral,” she wrote.

Blueface also entered the comments after Martinez’s clarification. He claimed the lawsuit money had already been sent and continued joking about the situation.

“She aint get the money yet ? I sent it Ina mail 2 years ago when they filed 😂,” he wrote.

The rapper then took the back-and-forth to X again, where he suggested Soulja Boy only helped Martinez after seeing his offer.

“I bet Soulja hit her up an paid soon as he seen step daddy step in 😂,” Blueface tweeted.

Soulja Boy has not directly responded to Blueface’s comments or Martinez’s clarification. However, he did post new photos on Instagram shortly after the exchange started gaining attention.

In one post, Soulja Boy posed with several stacks of cash and captioned the photos, “DRIP.” The next morning, he posted another set of pictures showing himself laughing while looking at his phone and holding more cash.

“Lock in twin,” he wrote.
