On Monday, August 24, Serayah announced that she had ended her engagement to Joey Bada$$ after accusing the rapper of repeated infidelity throughout their relationship. The former couple, who went public with their romance in 2023, share a young son.

In her breakup statement, Serayah said the decision to end the relationship was difficult but necessary after she confronted what she described as “repeated infidelity,” including alleged cheating during some of the most vulnerable moments of her life.

The Empire actress emphasized that she was not looking for sympathy or revenge. Instead, she encouraged other women to trust their instincts when something feels wrong in a relationship.

After posting her breakup statement, Serayah returned to Instagram Stories with what appeared to be audio recordings involving Joey Bada$$ and another woman.

In one clip, Joey can allegedly be heard discussing a situation involving Serayah and their child’s grandmother. A woman on the recording reportedly tells him that Serayah is “just lashing out” and is embarrassed.

Serayah appeared to react to the alleged conversation, writing that Joey was already speaking to another woman about their relationship and what they were going through.

In another alleged recording, Joey can reportedly be heard discussing plans to potentially meet up with the mystery woman. Serayah claimed the meeting happened the previous week.

The posts have since reportedly been deleted.

While Serayah has publicly discussed the alleged infidelity and shared the audio clips, Joey Bada$$ has not publicly addressed the breakup or the cheating allegations at the time of publication.

Serayah also made it clear in her original statement that she intends to prioritize their son and his relationship with both parents.

The actress said she would not reveal further intimate details about the relationship, signaling that she wants to move forward while protecting her family’s privacy.
