New details have reportedly emerged surrounding the events that led authorities to check on Memphis producer Tay Keith before his death.

Police have reportedly released 911 dispatch audio of Tay Keith’s girlfriend requesting a wellness check after she became concerned when he suddenly stopped responding to her calls and messages.

According to TMZ, the woman, whose identity has not been publicly disclosed, contacted the Metro Nashville Police Department after going more than 24 hours without hearing from the producer.

During the call, she reportedly informed the dispatcher that Tay Keith occasionally experienced breathing complications and also suffered from high blood pressure.

Tay Keith’s Girlfriend Became Concerned After He Stopped Responding

The woman reportedly explained that Tay Keith had asked her to come to his home before communication between them suddenly ended.

She said she repeatedly attempted to call and text him throughout the following day but received no response.

“I came back to check last night… knocking on the door, no answer. So I’m back here now and still, no answer,” she reportedly told the dispatcher.

Her continued concern ultimately led her to request that police conduct a wellness check at the producer’s residence.

Audio Provides More Details About Tay Keith’s Final Hours

The reported release of the dispatch audio offers additional insight into the concern surrounding Tay Keith before authorities arrived at his home.

The producer’s girlfriend appears to have made multiple attempts to contact him and personally visited the residence more than once before calling law enforcement.

At this time, authorities have not publicly released further details about the circumstances surrounding Tay Keith’s death.

The Grammy-nominated producer reportedly died at the age of 29, prompting an outpouring of tributes from artists, collaborators and fans across the hip-hop community.

Tay Keith was widely recognized for helping shape the sound of modern Southern rap through his work with artists including Drake, Travis Scott, BlocBoy JB and other major names in hip-hop.
