Rihanna recently brought her three children back to the place where her journey began, turning a visit to her home country of Barbados into a full-circle family moment.
The singer shared photos of herself with her children with A$AP Rocky — RZA, 4, Riot Rose, 3, and Rocki Irish, 11 months — as they visited the street in her old neighborhood that now bears her name.
“One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury…the next minute I’m bringing my own kids back to ‘Rihanna Drive,’” Rihanna wrote on X. “Trippy how life works! And the Glory STILL and WILL ALWAYS belong to the Almighty Creator!!!”
Rihanna Returns to Her Childhood Neighborhood
Rihanna Drive was officially named after the global superstar in 2017 and has since become a popular tourist attraction in Barbados.
The street is located in the neighborhood where Rihanna grew up, with the green and yellow house that was once her childhood home still standing there.
According to Visit Barbados, the location marks the beginning of Rihanna’s story as an international icon, describing it as a backstreet on the outskirts of Bridgetown near the shoreline.
For Rihanna, returning to the neighborhood with her own children offered a chance to show them a piece of the place that shaped her early life.
Rihanna Celebrates Barbados With Her Family
The family visit comes shortly after Rihanna returned to Barbados for the country’s annual Crop Over celebrations.
Earlier this month, the singer took part in the Grand Kadooment Day parade, joining thousands of revelers for one of Barbados’ biggest cultural celebrations.
