Rick Ross is back out of jail and already talking about his next moves.

The rapper was released from a Miami-area jail Thursday after being arrested on felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery charges stemming from allegations involving his former girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick.

Ross surrendered to authorities Thursday after Kendrick reportedly contacted police Tuesday. The allegations remain unresolved, and Ross has denied any wrongdoing.

“I’m totally innocent,” Ross told reporters after his release.

The rapper appeared eager to move past the arrest, telling reporters he planned to travel to Dubai on Friday and Paris on Saturday. He also joked about his plans for Sunday, saying he intended to spend the day eating rigatoni with “heavy marinara.”

Ross’ attorney had asked a judge to expedite his release during his court appearance, citing the rapper’s celebrity status and concerns about his safety while detained. Judge Mindy Glazer rejected the suggestion that Ross should receive special treatment because of his fame.

“I have no idea who you are,” Glazer told Ross during the hearing.

Following his release, Ross also addressed the situation on Instagram while promoting his music. In one post, he declared, “I’m bigger than Justin Bieber,” while predicting that news helicopters would soon be circling his mansion once the weather cleared.

He also compared the media attention surrounding his arrest to the coverage surrounding O.J. Simpson.

Despite the legal situation, Ross said he planned to return to the recording studio and instructed his team to have the facility ready.

Kendrick has publicly accused Ross of physical abuse, although it has not been established whether all of those allegations are directly connected to the charges he currently faces.

For now, the criminal case remains unresolved, while Ross maintains that he did not commit the alleged offenses.
