Ray J is letting fans know he is on the mend after a viral celebrity MMA knockout sent him to the hospital.

The R&B singer shared a short update from a hospital bed days after losing to internet personality Supa Hot Fire during Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 14 event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

“Getting better,” Ray J wrote online. “I’ll see y’all on Friday.”

The update came after clips of the knockout spread quickly across X, Instagram and TikTok. Fans were already concerned because Ray J had previously spoken publicly about serious health issues, including heart-related complications.

Despite the scare, Ray J still appears set on making his scheduled May 29 performance at the Pete Be Center in San Jose.

The fight became one of the most talked-about moments from the event. Ray J started the opening round aggressively and tried to pressure Supa Hot Fire early. But the energy shifted in the second round.

Supa Hot Fire, whose real name is DeWayne Stevenson, landed a clean right hand less than 30 seconds into the round. The punch dropped Ray J to the canvas and forced an immediate stoppage.

Videos of the knockout went viral within minutes, with fans reacting to both the punch and Ray J’s condition afterward.

Reports later stated that Ray J checked himself into a Las Vegas hospital roughly two hours after the fight. Doctors reportedly evaluated him for a possible concussion while also monitoring concerns related to his heart rate.

The hospital visit sparked even more concern because Ray J had discussed serious health struggles earlier this year. During emotional livestreams after a January hospitalization, he claimed years of alcohol abuse and substance use had taken a major toll on his heart.

Those earlier comments resurfaced almost immediately after the fight footage began circulating online.

The incident has also reignited criticism around celebrity boxing and influencer MMA events. Some fans questioned whether Ray J should have competed given his recent health concerns, while others praised him for updating supporters instead of leaving people to speculate.
