Following the 27-year-old model's untimely passing yesterday, sources close to him claim he appeared to be under the influence when he entered the rehabilitation facility where he was later found.

According to TMZ, people who had contact with Presley before his death said he did not appear sober when he arrived at a luxury rehab home in Santa Monica on Saturday night.

Gerber had reportedly checked into the facility seeking treatment for substance abuse issues.

Less than a day later, he was found unresponsive.

Santa Monica police responded to the facility at approximately 9:35 a.m. Sunday following a call concerning a suspected overdose.

A spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department said officers located an unresponsive person and immediately began life-saving efforts.

Presley was pronounced dead roughly 10 minutes later.

His death is currently being investigated as a suspected drug overdose, though authorities have not announced an official cause of death.

Police have said there is presently no indication of foul play.

The claim that Presley appeared under the influence when he checked into treatment adds another detail to the timeline investigators are examining, but it does not establish what substance, if any, was in his system or what ultimately caused his death.
