Offset has avoided jail time after reaching a resolution in his criminal assault case stemming from an altercation at a Los Angeles cannabis dispensary.

The Migos rapper, whose legal name is Kiari Cephus, was sentenced to 12 months of probation following the March 2025 incident at MedMen LAX, according to court records.

As part of the court's ruling, Offset must comply with several conditions throughout his one-year probation.

According to prosecutors, security guard Jim Sanchez requested identification, leading to a confrontation in which Offset allegedly struck him in the face.

Court filings also allege members of the rapper's entourage joined the altercation, leaving Sanchez with injuries that reportedly required hospital treatment.

Offset has consistently denied the accusations.

The Atlanta rapper maintains that Sanchez initiated the physical confrontation by allegedly spitting on him first. According to Offset, any actions he took occurred only after the situation escalated.

The differing accounts have remained a central point of dispute throughout the case.

The probation sentence brings the criminal case to a close without any jail time for Offset.
