Papoose looks like the latest rapper to step into 50 Cent’s orbit as Fif’s year of public feuds keeps expanding.

On Saturday, the Brooklyn rapper dropped a freestyle over 50 Cent’s “Many Men,” using the beat to send direct shots at him after their online back-and-forth started earlier this year. In the track, Papoose references 50 getting shot, rapping “Heard they shot his ass with Nina/he deserved a Mac.” He also called out Diddy’s relationship with 50’s ex-girlfriend and child’s mother, Daphne Joy and throws in a few more jabs about 50’s relevance as a rapper.

50 responded later that same day on Instagram.

Rather than answer with a track of his own, he brushed off the diss and mocked Papoose’s record as a hitmaker. “I’m sorry, no response to r*tarded ass rappers who can’t write a hit to save their lives,” he wrote on in an Instagram caption, before adding, “moving right along short bus shorty.”

This news comes following a back and forth between the two rappers online that started this January. In a now deleted video, 50 Cent posted an edited clip from Jamaa Fanaka’s 1976 film Emma Mae, replacing the two lead characters’ faces with Papoose and his girlfriend, Claressa Shields. In the original scene, Emma Mae confronts Jesse Amos for not loving her. 50 used the scene to troll Pap and Shields, captioning it, “You can’t just go around putting your hands on people.”

The caption appeared to reference reports that Papoose had allegedly assaulted comedian Gerald Huston after Huston called Shields “Serena Williams.” Shields later confirmed that an incident had happened and said Papoose was defending her, which gave 50 even more room to keep posting about the situation.

Papoose then fired back directly. Responding to 50’s post, he shared an AI-generated video showing a feminized version of 50 Cent twerking and accused him of dodging another rap feud. “No No No stop deflecting Curtis,” Pap wrote. “The world is STILL waiting for ya response to Fab & them. You from southside do something ? Fight or flight ? Holla if you need a ghostwriter Champ… I mean Chump!” The post was a reference to 50’s separate tension with the Let’s Rap About It circle — including Fabolous, Jim Jones, Maino and Dave East — after Fab’s Christmas Day freestyle took aim at him.

50 answered that post too, but kept it in trolling mode. Reacting on Instagram, he laughed off Pap’s AI clip and wrote, “Look what Pap posted 😆Hahaha, that look like one of his joints all his hoe’s handsome. They tougher than him 😟 LOL.”

Earlier this year, Shields also hopped onto her social media to address 50 Cent directly. Per complex, in a series of Snapchat stories, the boxing champion said she was confused about why she had been brought into the mess at all. “I wake up New Year’s Day and 50 Cent got a post with my face & Papoose face on it and I’ve never done or said nothing bad ’bout him!” she wrote. She also denied claims about her spending, calling them lies, and later added, “Mfs ain’t never been the best in their field no matter what era of their career! So 50 can STFU for real!”

Soon after that, 50 appeared to ease up. In a now-deleted post, he said he was a fan of Shields, called her an amazing fighter, and said he would chill so she could focus on her upcoming bout.

Still, with this back-and-forth seemingly heating up, at this point, we are all wondering who 50 will go after next.
