Nicki Minaj could be losing her legal team in the middle of a $275,000 lawsuit, with her attorneys claiming their working relationship has broken down and efforts to contact the rapper have become increasingly difficult.

According to court documents reported by TMZ on November 5, the law firm Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever has requested permission to withdraw from representing Minaj and her company, Pink Friday Productions, in an ongoing legal dispute with 24/7 Productions.

The firm cited “irreconcilable differences” regarding how the case was being handled, along with a breakdown in communication that attorneys say has made continuing their representation impossible.

The development adds another complication to a lawsuit involving allegedly unpaid production expenses connected to Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 album rollout and 2023 concert appearances.

Nicki Minaj’s Lawyers Claim They Struggled to Contact Her

In an October 23 filing, attorney Bruce W. Bieber asked a New York judge to allow his firm to step away from the case, arguing that the attorney-client relationship had deteriorated beyond repair.

The legal team also reported difficulties notifying Minaj about its decision.

According to TMZ, a process server attempting to deliver documents visited the building where Minaj reportedly owns a $10 million penthouse. The server claimed a concierge said the rapper was not home, although her husband was present.

The concierge also allegedly told the server that the couple had a “tendency of not answering their phones.”

Those claims were included in the reported efforts to serve Minaj with legal paperwork and have not been independently established as facts about her availability.

The attorneys are now seeking the court’s approval to formally end their involvement in the case.

What Is Nicki Minaj’s $275K Pink Friday 2 Lawsuit About?

The legal dispute dates back to March 2026, when 24/7 Productions filed a lawsuit against Minaj and Pink Friday Productions over allegedly unpaid expenses totaling approximately $275,000.

The company claims it provided production services for Minaj’s December 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball performances and promotional events surrounding her Pink Friday 2 album release.

Those services reportedly included staffing, lighting, audio production, transportation, event management and other logistical arrangements.

According to the lawsuit, 24/7 Productions covered substantial expenses upfront with the expectation that Minaj’s company would reimburse the costs.

However, Minaj’s legal team has disputed the allegations.

In previous court filings, her attorneys argued that the rapper was not personally responsible for the company’s alleged debts. Pink Friday Productions also maintained that the disputed expenses had already been paid.

The lawsuit remains unresolved, and the company’s allegations have not been proven in court.

What Happens Next in Nicki Minaj’s Legal Battle?

The legal team’s request to withdraw has not yet been approved.

According to AllHipHop, Judge Leslie A. Stroth scheduled a hearing for December 1, 2026, to consider the firm’s request. Proceedings in the underlying lawsuit have been temporarily paused pending that hearing.

If the judge grants the request, Minaj and Pink Friday Productions would be given time to secure replacement legal representation.

The latest development places additional attention on the rapper’s ongoing legal battle, particularly as questions remain over who will represent her moving forward.
