Nevaeh Akira is seemingly turning her attention to business after another turbulent chapter with Blueface.

On Monday, September 28, Akira reportedly revealed on her Instagram Story that she plans to launch her own record label and is already looking for artists.

“Starting a record label,” she wrote, before asking, “Who wants to get signed?? Tag names below.”

The unexpected announcement quickly made its way across social media, where users had plenty to say about Akira potentially becoming a music executive.

Some commenters joked that she appeared to be following in Blueface’s footsteps, while others questioned how serious the announcement was.

Others compared her ambitions to established music executives such as Jermaine Dupri, while one commenter jokingly wondered what business Akira might launch next.

Nevaeh Akira’s Announcement Comes After Latest Blueface Breakup

The business reveal arrives amid another highly publicized split between Akira and Blueface.

Earlier this month, the rapper reportedly accused Akira of misleading him about temporarily displaying a tattoo of NBA YoungBoy’s face. Akira later publicly apologized to Blueface.

The pair then appeared to reconnect, with Akira and their newborn son appearing alongside Blueface during a livestream.

However, the reunion did not last long.

Tensions reportedly resurfaced after Akira declined an opportunity to appear on “Baddies USA” alongside Jaidyn Alexis, the mother of Blueface’s older children. During the disagreement, Blueface reportedly told Akira to move out of his home.

Akira’s decision to turn down the reality TV opportunity has continued to come up publicly, including during conversations involving “Baddies” executive producer Natalie Nunn.

Now, Akira appears to be focusing on a completely different lane.
