NBA Ben10 has reportedly been arrested by the FBI just months after being seriously injured in a Houston shooting that authorities are now investigating.
The rapper and OG 3Three were among six people taken into custody Thursday morning across Texas and Louisiana, according to TMZ.
An FBI Houston spokesperson confirmed that federal agents and partner agencies carried out the arrests.
What makes the development particularly unusual is that Ben10 was himself shot during the April incident at Confessions restaurant in Houston, with court documents reportedly stating that his injuries resulted in “irreversible paralysis.”
NBA Ben10 and OG 3Three Arrested by FBI
According to the report, federal authorities arrested six people as part of an investigation connected to the shooting at Confessions earlier this year.
NBA Ben10 and OG 3Three were reportedly among those taken into custody.
However, authorities have not yet publicly revealed exactly what charges the two rappers or the four other people arrested are facing.
The FBI reportedly referred questions regarding the charges to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas.
That means the exact allegations against Ben10 and OG 3Three remain unclear for now.
NBA Ben10 Was Shot During the Same Houston Incident
The arrests trace back to a violent altercation at Confessions restaurant in Houston in April.
Ben10 was one of three people reportedly struck by gunfire during the incident.
Court documents cited by TMZ reportedly state that Ben10 suffered injuries that resulted in “irreversible paralysis.”
Another rapper, Allstar JR, was previously charged in connection with the shooting.
Authorities allege surveillance footage captured Allstar JR fighting with several people who appeared to be attempting to rob him.
During the confrontation, a firearm reportedly fell to the ground.
Investigators allege Allstar JR then gained possession of the weapon and began firing.
Allstar JR Accused of Shooting Ben10 Multiple Times
According to the allegations, Ben10 was struck by gunfire and fell to the ground during the shooting.
Authorities claim Allstar JR then approached the injured rapper and fired three additional shots.
Investigators further allege that he attempted to fire another round toward Ben10’s head, but the firearm was apparently out of ammunition.
Allstar JR has already been charged in connection with the incident.
Now, months later, the federal investigation has resulted in Ben10 himself being taken into custody alongside OG 3Three and four others.
Why Was NBA Ben10 Arrested?
That remains the biggest unanswered question.
While the FBI confirmed multiple arrests connected to the investigation, the specific federal charges facing Ben10, OG 3Three and the other individuals had not been disclosed in the initial report.
Being arrested in connection with the wider investigation does not necessarily mean authorities are accusing Ben10 of carrying out the shooting itself.
In fact, he was one of the people allegedly shot during the confrontation.
More information will likely emerge once federal prosecutors reveal the charges and supporting allegations against those arrested.
FBI Investigation Adds New Twist to Houston Shooting
The arrests mark a major new development in a case that had previously centered largely around the allegations against Allstar JR.
Ben10’s reported injuries already made the April shooting a serious incident, but his subsequent arrest has now raised new questions about what investigators believe happened before and during the confrontation.
OG 3Three’s alleged involvement also remains unclear.
For now, both rappers are reportedly in federal custody as authorities move forward with the case.
