Mystikal’s son, Million Tyler, is speaking publicly about the emotional toll of his father’s 20-year prison sentence following his guilty plea in a Louisiana rape case.

During an interview with TMZ, Million described the past several days as an extremely difficult period for his family. He said he feels sympathy for the unnamed victim while also struggling with the reality of seeing his father sent to prison.

According to Million, there are no winners in a case involving such serious harm.

The aspiring musician was present in the courtroom when the victim addressed the court and described the physical abuse and sexual assault she said she suffered at Mystikal’s hands. Million admitted that listening to her account was painful and emotionally overwhelming.

The case has also affected Million’s ability to focus on his own music career. He explained that he has not been creating recently because he has been trying to process the sentencing and regain control of his emotions.

While Million hopes to speak with Mystikal at some point, he said he is not currently ready to visit his father or have that conversation.

“I hope you get the help you need,” Million said in a message to Mystikal. “I really hope you do.”

Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty in connection with the sexual assault of a woman at his Louisiana home in 2022.

The case was not the New Orleans rapper’s first sexual offense conviction. In 2003, Mystikal was convicted of sexual battery of the infirm and later served several years in prison before being released in January 2010. He was also required to register as a sex offender.
