In a preview of her upcoming Lifetime documentary, "Kimora Lee: On Her Own," the fashion mogul reflects on meeting Russell when she was just 16 years old and how Banks attempted to keep her away from the music executive.
During an interview with PEOPLE, Kimora admitted that she initially believed Banks was jealous of the attention she was receiving. Looking back, however, she now recognizes that her friend was trying to protect her.
