Kevin Gates has reportedly been ordered to pay his estranged wife, Dreka Gates, more than $1 million from the proceeds of his music catalog sale as their increasingly contentious divorce battle takes another major financial turn.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, October 21, the Louisiana rapper must distribute a significant portion of the money from his catalog sale to Dreka, including nearly $930,000 in child and spousal support.

The ruling comes more than a year after Dreka filed for divorce, with the former couple continuing to clash over financial responsibilities, their marriage and allegations involving money.

Kevin Gates and Dreka Gates' $1 Million Court Order Explained

Under the reported court order, all proceeds from Kevin Gates' music catalog sale must first be deposited into a Morgan Stanley account overseen by Robert Bracy, the chief financial officer of his record label, Bread Winner Alumni.

Certified public accountant William Duerksen will also have authorization over the account, ensuring that the money is distributed according to the court's instructions.

Dreka is reportedly entitled to $929,341.50 in child and spousal support, along with an additional $150,000 payment directly to her.

That brings her total allocation to approximately $1.08 million.

However, the financial obligations don't end there.

The court order also reportedly directs $125,000 toward Dreka's attorneys, $100,000 to her accountant and another $103,000 to a third-party mediation service.

Meanwhile, Kevin Gates will receive $538,798 upfront, followed by monthly payments of $225,000 beginning in October 2026.

The exact amount Kevin received for selling his music catalog, as well as the identity of the buyer, has not been publicly disclosed.

The arrangement represents a major development in the rapper's ongoing divorce proceedings, although it does not mean their divorce has been finalized.

Dreka Gates Previously Demanded More Than $70,000 a Month in Support

The latest financial ruling follows months of legal disputes between Kevin and Dreka, who share two children, Islah and Khaza.

Dreka filed for divorce in July 2025, citing irreconcilable differences after nearly a decade of marriage.

In October 2025, she requested approximately $73,000 in combined monthly child and spousal support.

According to previous court filings reported by TMZ, Dreka sought $27,193 per month in child support and another $46,274 in spousal support.

She also accused Kevin of failing to meet several financial responsibilities beginning in 2021, including payments toward their children's private school tuition and property taxes.

Dreka alleged that the rapper had effectively stopped supporting the family's financial obligations while continuing to spend money on luxury purchases.

Kevin has disputed claims surrounding his financial responsibilities and previously challenged aspects of their marital status.

Kevin Gates Previously Accused Dreka of Stealing From Him

The former couple's separation has extended beyond the courtroom, with Kevin Gates publicly making allegations against Dreka and her family.

Earlier in 2026, the rapper accused his estranged wife of repeatedly taking money from him throughout their relationship.

He also claimed they had been separated since 2020 and suggested that Dreka's divorce filing was connected to his decision to stop providing her with money.

Dreka's attorney, Marty Singer, firmly denied the theft allegations, describing them as “completely false and fabricated.”

The conflicting accounts have fueled ongoing public speculation about the collapse of a relationship that once appeared to be one of hip-hop's strongest partnerships.

Dreka was more than Kevin's wife during their years together. She also played an important role in managing his career and building his business operations, including his independent music ventures.

Social Media Reacts to Dreka Gates' Million-Dollar Payout

News of the court order quickly sparked reactions online, with fans divided over the financial arrangement.

Some social media users argued that Dreka deserved a significant portion of the proceeds because of her longstanding involvement in Kevin's career.

“She held him down & help build his legacy… so yes there’s that,” one Instagram commenter wrote.

Another reacted, “Dreka Gets the Last Laugh,” while others pointed out that Kevin would still receive substantial monthly payments under the reported agreement.

Some fans also compared the arrangement to Dreka's earlier request for more than $70,000 in monthly support.

The reactions highlight how closely followers have watched the former couple's separation, particularly given Dreka's history of managing Kevin's career and their highly publicized disputes.

For now, the reported ruling establishes how proceeds from Kevin Gates' music catalog sale will be distributed, but it leaves broader questions surrounding their divorce unresolved.
