Kendrick Lamar fans were left confused this week after GNX briefly disappeared from Apple Music with no clear explanation.

On Monday, listeners noticed that Kendrick’s Grammy-winning 2024 album was no longer showing on Apple Music. The project was still available on Spotify at the time, while Complex reported that it was also unavailable on Tidal. A few hours later, the album returned to Apple Music, but no official reason was immediately given for the sudden removal.

The disappearance did not stop with the album. Around the same time, fans noticed that the music videos for “Luther” and “Not Like Us” had also been removed and reuploaded to YouTube, which reset their view counts. The “Squabble Up” video, however, remained available with its original numbers intact. Kendrick’s Drake diss “Euphoria” also briefly vanished from services before being restored.

The timing made the situation even more noticeable because GNX is still one of the biggest albums in Kendrick’s recent run. The project arrived as a surprise release in November 2024 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 319,000 equivalent album units. All 12 songs from the album also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, with Kendrick occupying the entire top five.

The album’s run continued into awards season. At the 2026 Grammys, GNX won Best Rap Album, while Kendrick and SZA’s “Luther” won Record of the Year. The wins helped Kendrick become the most-awarded rapper in Grammy history, with 27 total Grammy wins.

The brief streaming issue also comes after Kendrick wrapped a major era around the album. He and SZA took GNX on the road through the Grand National Tour, which began in 2025 and expanded beyond North America with international dates. Since then, Kendrick has stayed mostly quiet about his next full project, though he recently appeared on Baby Keem’s album Casino.
