Jamie Foxx is heading back to stand-up with a brand-new comedy special.
Hulu has announced “Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself,” a new stand-up special set to premiere October 7 as part of the streamer’s Hularious comedy lineup.
The special will be available on Hulu in the U.S., as well as Hulu on Disney+ for eligible bundle subscribers. International viewers will be able to stream it through Disney+.
Along with announcing the release date, Hulu also shared a first-look image of Foxx taking the stage.
Jamie Foxx Returns to Stand-Up With “Take Care of Yourself”
Hulu is describing the upcoming special as one of the most personal chapters of Foxx’s career.
According to the official synopsis, “Take Care of Yourself” will see Foxx delivering a comedy set centered around self-care while presenting what the streamer calls his “most honest, evolved, and unforgettable chapter yet.”
The title carries added significance given everything Foxx has experienced over the past several years.
His new Hulu special follows 2024’s Netflix release “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was…,” which marked his major return to stand-up following the serious medical emergency he suffered in 2023.
That special saw Foxx mix comedy with a deeply personal account of the health scare that temporarily took him away from the public eye.
“Take Care of Yourself” appears ready to continue that more candid approach.
Jamie Foxx Joins Hulu’s Hularious Comedy Lineup
Foxx is the latest major comedian to join Hulu’s growing Hularious brand.
The stand-up lineup has featured performers including Bill Burr, Nikki Glaser, Jim Gaffigan, Sebastian Maniscalco, Roy Wood Jr., Matteo Lane, Atsuko Okatsuka and several others.
For Foxx, the special represents another return to the art form that helped launch his entertainment career long before he became an Academy Award-winning actor and successful recording artist.
Before films like “Ray,” “Collateral” and “Django Unchained” made him one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, Foxx built his name through comedy clubs and television.
He joined the cast of “In Living Color” in the early 1990s before eventually expanding into film, music and dramatic acting.

Hulu has not yet revealed the runtime of the special or whether any special guests will appear.
For now, the first-look announcement puts Foxx’s return to stand-up on the calendar.
