Terrence Howard says he once had the chance to date Beyoncé — and passed on it.

Speaking during a recent interview with Patrick Bet-David, the actor was asked if he ever had the desire to be in a “Hollywood couple, like Beyonce and Jay Z“, to which he responded there was a point earlier in his career when a romantic connection with the global superstar could have happened.

“We had a conversation about that, but I ended up talking to the other girl in Destiny [Child] instead — the one with the blue eyes,” Howard spilled. (Our research indicates he could have been referring to Farrah Franklin, who was part of the group from 1999 to 2000).

Howard joked that might be the reason why Beyonce picked him to do the “strip tease” on at Destiny’s Child’s 2005 BET Awards performance of "Cater 2 U”. “She might have wanted to show me what I lost.” He laughed.

“But this was all long before she was with Jay-Z!”, he quipped so it seems it is all water under the bridge now.
