Future is entering a more personal era as he prepares to release his upcoming album, The Real Me.
In a new promotional clip shared on Instagram, the Atlanta rapper spoke openly about marriage, commitment and his desire for genuine love.
Future’s The Real Me album is expected to arrive July 10 with 22 tracks, including the recently released single “Radio.”
Future Explains His Views on Marriage
During an in-studio conversation, Future pushed back against the perception that he does not believe in marriage.
The rapper argued that marriage can help a man grow when he chooses the right partner.
“Every man that marry the right women, they progress,” Future said. “When you marry and that sh*t ain’t for sure, you lose.”
Future suggested that marriage itself is not the problem. Instead, he believes the success of a relationship depends on choosing someone who brings stability and growth.
Future Says He Wants “True Love”
Future also discussed unconditional love and the loyalty that can remain even when a relationship becomes painful or complicated.
“If you see me out with a fking girl, holding her hand, she like, ‘Na, I still love you. I love you when you holding another btch hand,’” he said. “It ain’t right. That’s just unconditional love.”
Although he admitted the situation would not be healthy, Future used the example to describe a love that continues despite disappointment.
He then made his own feelings clear.
“I love true love. I don’t want fake love,” Future said. “Hell yeah I want to get married. Do I want to be married to the wrong person? No.”
‘The Real Me’ Shows a More Vulnerable Side of Future
Future’s comments mark a more introspective turn for an artist often associated with emotionally detached lyrics and complicated relationships.
The new The Real Me promo suggests the album will explore love, vulnerability, personal growth and long-term commitment.
While Future has frequently addressed heartbreak and romance throughout his career, his latest remarks show a stronger desire for stability and a meaningful relationship.
Fans will hear more of that personal side when The Real Me arrives July 10.
