Druski is making it clear that his friendship with Drake was never going to change because of the rapper’s highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar.

During a new GQ cover story, the comedian opened up about standing by Drake throughout the rap battle and explained that his support came down to loyalty rather than picking whichever side was more popular.

“That’s my brother,” Druski said. “I don’t care about what’s hot at the moment or what’s going on.”

“I’m just big on loyalty,” he continued. “I just supported a friend throughout that whole endeavor.”

Druski Says His Loyalty to Drake Was Personal

Drake and Druski’s relationship dates back years, long before the Kendrick Lamar feud became one of the biggest stories in hip-hop.

Druski appeared in Drake and Lil Durk’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” music video in 2020, around the same time his comedy career was exploding across social media.

Drake was also among the major celebrities who embraced Druski during his early rise.

That friendship came under considerably more scrutiny once Drake and Kendrick began trading diss records, with fans closely watching artists and celebrities to see which side they appeared to support.

For Druski, however, there was apparently never much of a decision to make.

His support for Drake was about maintaining a friendship regardless of the public conversation surrounding the battle.

Druski Addresses Viral Kendrick Lamar “Snub”

Druski also used the GQ interview to clear up a viral moment that had fans convinced he was deliberately avoiding Kendrick Lamar.

In June 2025, footage circulated showing Druski appearing to move away from Kendrick during two backstage encounters at an awards show.

Because of Druski’s friendship with Drake, social media immediately interpreted the clips as an intentional snub.

Druski says that was not the case.

“That was not intentional,” he said while laughing.

“Social media will take these clips and spin them however they want to spin it.”

The footage sparked debate at the time, with some fans praising what they believed was Druski standing behind Drake while others thought he was unnecessarily inserting himself into another rapper’s feud.

According to Druski, viewers simply read too much into the moment.

Druski Continues Expanding Beyond Social Media Comedy

The comments arrive as Druski continues turning his internet success into a larger entertainment career.

He is set to appear alongside Emma Stone and Chris Pine in the upcoming baseball romantic comedy “The Catch,” directed by Dave McCary.

Stone praised Druski’s collaborative approach while speaking with GQ, highlighting how naturally he works with other performers.

Druski is also developing “Collect & Praise,” a scripted series based around his fraudulent megachurch pastor character.

The project will feature Mike Epps and has filmed at locations including Tyler Perry Studios and Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail.

Despite his career expanding far beyond viral sketches, Druski’s connection to hip-hop remains strong.

And when it comes to Drake, he says internet pressure was never enough to make him distance himself from someone he considers family.
