RJ Ebro Darden just stirred up a new Drake debate with one line.

Around the 23-minute mark of Apple Music’s Rap Life Review’s Episode 242 that dropped yesterday, Ebro Darden joked to co-hosts Nadeska Alexis and Lowkey that waiting for Drake to drop a classic album is “never going to happen.”

The comment came during a bigger conversation about artists like Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty, who often get criticized for not being lyrical enough or for making more rock-leaning music. The point Ebro was making was that people keep asking certain artists to do things that are not really their intent at all. In that context, he used Drake as the example.

However, online, fans pushed back almost instantly, arguing that Drake already has classic albums and pointed to Take Care, Nothing Was the Same, and If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late as proof that Ebro’s comment did not hold up.

This comment created further buzz because Ebro and Drake have previously been in a public feud. Their tension goes back years, including Drake’s broader friction with Hot 97, but it flared up again in December 2025 when Ebro in the Morning ended and Drake reacted with an axe emoji under a post about the show’s cancellation.

That prompted fresh back-and-forth, with Ebro later accusing Drake of taking shots and even sharing alleged DMs from him.
