Drake has officially entered his Iceman era, but in typical Drake fashion, the rollout did not end where fans expected it to.
On Friday, the Toronto rapper released his long-awaited album Iceman at midnight ET. But instead of arriving alone, the project landed alongside two surprise albums, Habibti and Maid of Honour, turning what was already one of the most watched releases of the year into a three-album drop.
The surprise came at the end of Drake’s Iceman Episode 4 livestream, where he revealed the titles with the message, “All 3 albums dropping at midnight from the biggest sound.” Shortly after, he posted the individual cover art for each project on Instagram, confirming that the release was not a rumor anymore.
Together, the three albums include 43 songs and a packed guest list. The projects feature appearances from Future, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Qendresa, Molly Santana, Central Cee, Popcaan, PartyNextDoor, Loe Shimmy, Iconic Savvy and Stunna Sandy. Sexyy Red appears on two tracks, while longtime collaborators like Future, 21 Savage and PartyNextDoor help anchor the drop in familiar Drake territory.
Rumors had already started moving earlier on Thursday after DJ Hed claimed on X that Iceman would arrive first, followed by Maid of Honour about an hour later. Drake, however, ended up going even bigger by releasing all three projects at the same time.
The road to Iceman has been unusually long. Drake first appeared to tease the title back in 2024, when he referenced Val Kilmer’s “Iceman” character from Top Gun on social media. Soon after, he shared a screenshot of a folder titled “2.0 – Iceman,” which immediately sparked speculation that the name was attached to a future album.
By July 2025, the rollout had become more direct. Drake launched the Iceman Episode 1 livestream on YouTube and previewed new material, including “What Did I Miss?” The series continued with two more episodes, producing singles such as “Which One” featuring Central Cee and “Dog House” featuring July Wolf and Yeat.
The final push came in late April, when Drake revealed the release date through a promotional stunt in Toronto. Blocks of ice were placed in the city, with a bag hidden inside containing the date for Iceman. Streamer Kishka eventually retrieved the bag and took it to Drake’s house, where the contents revealed a May 15 release date. Drake later confirmed the date on social media.
With Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour now out together, Drake has turned a standard album release into a full-scale event.
