Drake’s team is speaking out after social media erupted with rumors linking the rapper to Keshia Chanté’s pregnancy.
Shortly after Chanté revealed that she is expecting a baby boy, online speculation began suggesting that her longtime friend and former teenage boyfriend Drake could be the father.
The rumors spread quickly enough for Drake’s camp to issue a direct denial.
According to TMZ, Drake representative Melissa Nathan said the rapper’s team could “completely and unequivocally deny” the speculation, describing the claims surrounding Drake and Chanté’s unborn child as inaccurate.
Keshia Chanté Announces She’s Expecting a Baby Boy
The speculation began after Keshia Chanté announced her pregnancy in a feature with HELLO!, sharing maternity photos while confirming she is expecting a son.
Although Chanté referenced entering the new chapter alongside “Mommy & Daddy,” she did not publicly reveal the identity of her child’s father.
That decision quickly sparked theories across social media, with some fans pointing toward Drake because of the pair’s lengthy history together.
There has been no public confirmation from Chanté suggesting Drake is the father.
Drake and Keshia Chanté Have a Long History
The rumors were largely fueled by Drake and Keshia Chanté’s past relationship.
The two reportedly dated as teenagers while growing up in Toronto, and Drake has publicly spoken about Chanté being one of his earliest romantic relationships.
Although their teenage romance ended years ago, Drake and Chanté have remained friendly over the years and have occasionally interacted publicly, leading fans to continue speculating about the nature of their relationship.
Their history became a major talking point online once Chanté announced her pregnancy without naming her partner.
Drake’s team, however, is making clear that fans should not read more into their relationship.
Drake’s Camp Denies Secret Baby Speculation
The situation also drew attention because Drake has previously dealt with intense public speculation surrounding his personal life and fatherhood.
Drake is already the father of Adonis Graham, whom he shares with artist Sophie Brussaux.
The existence of his son became a major topic in hip-hop during Drake’s highly publicized 2018 feud with Pusha T. Drake later directly addressed fatherhood on his album Scorpion.
This time around, however, his representatives wasted little time addressing the internet chatter.
Despite Drake and Chanté’s romantic history, his team says the latest baby rumors are simply false.
