Sean "Diddy" Combs is challenging several requests made by music producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones as their ongoing legal battle continues, with new court filings revealing disputes over medical records and questions involving third parties named in the lawsuit.
According to newly filed court documents, Diddy's legal team argues that Jones has failed to properly provide access to his medical records despite allegedly agreeing to do so months earlier. The filing claims a records release submitted by Jones did not comply with privacy regulations, preventing access to the requested information.
Diddy's attorneys are also seeking to limit the scope of discovery in the case, arguing that several of Jones' requests are excessive, improper, and unrelated to the claims being litigated.

One area of dispute involves questions related to actor Cuba Gooding Jr., who was previously named in Jones' lawsuit. Jones alleged that Gooding was involved in one of the incidents described in the complaint, which allegedly occurred aboard a yacht.
However, Diddy's legal team argues that requests seeking information about the alleged actions or statements of third parties, including Gooding, fall outside the scope of what should be addressed in the case.
The latest filing marks another development in a lawsuit that has generated significant attention since it was first filed. Jones accused Diddy of sexual assault, harassment, and misconduct, alleging that he was subjected to unwanted sexual advances, inappropriate touching, and other forms of abuse while working with the music mogul.
Diddy has consistently denied all allegations made against him. His legal team has repeatedly characterized the lawsuit as an attempt to secure a financial settlement rather than a legitimate legal claim.
In previous statements, Diddy's attorney described Jones as "nothing more than a liar" and dismissed the allegations as fabricated, accusing the producer of using high-profile names and sensational claims to generate publicity.
Jones is seeking $30 million in damages. While portions of the lawsuit have already been dismissed by the court, several claims remain active as both sides continue to battle over evidence, testimony, and the scope of discovery.
As the case moves forward, the latest court dispute highlights the growing fight over what information will ultimately be available to both parties ahead of any future proceedings.
