Dame Dash is making it clear that he wants nothing to do with JAY-Z’s upcoming Super Bowl LXI halftime show, telling his former business partner not to bother inviting him.

During a recent interview with The Art of Dialogue, the Roc-A-Fella Records cofounder dismissed the possibility of attending the February 14, 2027, performance at SoFi Stadium in California.

“I’m not going. Don’t even call me for the Super Bowl,” Dash said.

But his comments went beyond simply declining a potential invitation. Dash also questioned whether JAY-Z could deliver a halftime performance that matches the impact of previous hip-hop headliners.

He pointed to Dr. Dre’s celebrated 2022 Super Bowl show, which featured Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent. According to Dash, bringing together that level of talent helped make the performance memorable.

Dash suggested that a disappointing performance on such a massive stage could damage JAY-Z’s reputation. He also predicted that Beyoncé would join her husband during the show, although no special guests have been officially confirmed.

The former music executive took his criticism further by comparing JAY-Z’s concert appeal to Kanye West’s. Dash argued that West generates stronger audience enthusiasm at stadium performances, while suggesting that JAY-Z benefits more from corporate support.

The remarks come just days after the NFL officially announced JAY-Z as the headliner for Super Bowl LXI. The performance will mark a major milestone for the Brooklyn rapper, whose Roc Nation company has helped produce the NFL’s halftime entertainment since 2019.

Despite their shared history building Roc-A-Fella Records into a hip-hop powerhouse, Dash and JAY-Z have remained publicly at odds for years.
