New details are surfacing in the ongoing legal battle surrounding DaBaby’s 2022 bowling alley altercation with DaniLeigh’s brother, Brandon Bills, after deposition testimony revealed what was allegedly said moments before the fight broke out.
According to recently obtained court transcripts, Brandon Bills, whose real name is Brandon Curiel, testified that tensions between him and DaBaby had been escalating publicly after the rapper allegedly disrespected DaniLeigh online. Brandon claimed the situation became personal after DaBaby continued speaking about his sister and family on social media, leading to exchanges that quickly spread across entertainment blogs and social platforms.

The latest development focuses on Brandon’s account of their interaction at a Los Angeles bowling alley, where the viral fight eventually took place. Brandon testified that he was speaking with Swae Lee when DaBaby approached him and allegedly attempted to pull him aside for a conversation.
During the deposition, Brandon claimed DaBaby told him, “I just want to slap you up a bit. I just want to slap you around a little bit,” after Brandon refused to move away from where they were standing. Brandon further alleged that DaBaby threw the first punch before members of the rapper’s entourage joined the altercation.
Video footage from the incident circulated widely online at the time, showing a chaotic fight inside the bowling alley. Brandon also claimed during questioning that one of his gold chains was taken during the incident.
The confrontation happened during a period of public tension between DaBaby and DaniLeigh following their highly publicized breakup and online disputes. Brandon had previously defended his sister publicly and reportedly warned DaBaby that their issues would be handled in person if they crossed paths.
Following the altercation, Brandon filed a lawsuit against DaBaby over the alleged assault. DaBaby’s legal team has continued to argue that Brandon was the aggressor and that the rapper acted in self-defense during the confrontation.
Although the case was briefly dismissed, it was later revived and remains unresolved as both sides continue presenting their versions of what happened that night.
