Cardi B traded the stage for the baseball field this weekend, and she made sure everyone knew it was a very different kind of performance.
The rapper showed up to support her son Wave at his baseball game and even stepped onto the mound to throw the first pitch. Fans at the game cheered her on as she leaned into the proud mom moment, bringing her usual star power to the field.
But while Cardi got through the pitch, she later joked online that the whole experience came with a few conditions she was not exactly built for.
In a clip shared to social media, Cardi admitted that she is more used to indoor events, where everything feels a little more controlled. She compared it to the kind of polished recital setting she is more comfortable with and joked that she may be more of a “girl mom.”
The open-air baseball field, however, was clearly a different story. Cardi said the outdoor stadium feeling had her feeling like she was going to pass out, adding that she simply “can’t handle it.”
Still, the weather and the setting did not stop her from showing up for Wave. Cardi threw the ball in front of the crowd as fans reacted loudly, turning the baseball game into another viral proud-mom moment.
Cardi shares four-year-old Wave with Offset. The two have given fans glimpses of their co-parenting dynamic over time, often showing up for major moments in their children’s lives even as their own relationship has remained under public attention.
