Cardi B is opening up about the disturbing aftermath of a past relationship, claiming a former partner threatened self-harm and became intimidating after she ended things.
During a recent conversation on X Spaces, the Bronx rapper spoke directly to fans about the volatile breakup without identifying the person by name.
“You see what happens when a bitch really leaves,” Cardi said. “We all saw how he almost wanted to kill himself when I left.”
Cardi explained that she had previously avoided discussing the situation publicly because she did not want her comments to appear like an attack.
“I didn’t even wanna bring that situation up, because I don’t even want to fake act like I’m trying to come at a n***a or something,” she added.

The “Bodak Yellow” artist also pushed back against claims that former partners only dated her because of her fame and success.
“Why they not with them? Why they don’t be with them when I leave?” Cardi questioned. “They getting brand new bitches. Why do they be crashing out over me?”
She argued that the intense reactions following her breakups challenge the idea that people are only interested in her celebrity status.
“Since it’s only because of my name, since it’s only because I’m Cardi B, then why y’all damn near want to kill yourself?” she said. “Y’all seeing it in real time. Everybody seeing it in real time.”
Although Cardi did not name anyone during the livestream, her comments have renewed discussion surrounding her highly publicized separation from Offset.
Cardi previously accused the Migos rapper of harassing her following their split and claimed he experienced suicidal thoughts during that period. Those allegations remain disputed and have not been independently confirmed.
Cardi B and Offset Divorce and Custody Case Remains Unresolved
Cardi filed for divorce from Offset in 2024, bringing an end to their turbulent marriage after years of breakups, reconciliations and public accusations.
Legal issues connected to the separation reportedly remain ongoing, with custody of their children continuing to be a major point in the proceedings.
A judge also recently denied Offset’s reported request for a paternity test involving Cardi and Stefon Diggs’ child, adding another controversial development to the former couple’s legal dispute.
Neither Cardi nor Offset has publicly indicated that their divorce and custody disagreements are close to being fully resolved.
Social media personality Celina Powell has also inserted herself into the controversy with separate allegations involving Offset, including claims connected to pregnancy and financial disputes. However, those claims have not been independently verified.
