According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, Woods was involved in a rollover car crash in Jupiter Island, Florida on Friday afternoon — the same town where he lives. The incident happened just after 2:00 p.m. ET, and photos from the scene showed the vehicle lying on its driver's side. As of now, no details about the cause of the crash or Tiger's condition have been made public. A county sheriff was set to address reporters at 5:00 p.m. ET.

The timing couldn't be more jarring. Woods had just made his return to competitive golf this past Monday, playing in the TGL Finals with his Jupiter Links GC squad — only to come up short against the Los Angeles Golf Club. It was his first time competing in over a year, and he'd been grinding hard to get back out there.

This man has been through it.

For those who need a reminder — in February 2021, Tiger was involved in a serious single-car accident in Southern California where his vehicle rolled multiple times and left him trapped. The injuries were severe: open fractures to his lower right leg, a rod in his tibia, screws and pins in his foot and ankle. Doctors reportedly considered amputation. He had multiple follow-up surgeries, including one as recently as April 2023.

Fast forward to last year — Woods suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in March 2025, then went under the knife again in October for lumbar disc replacement surgery on his back. The man is 50 years old and has been putting his body through war just to stay in the game he loves.

Despite all of that, Tiger had his eyes locked on Augusta. Just days ago, he spoke publicly about his Masters plans, keeping it real about where his body is at while refusing to quit.

"This body… it doesn't recover like it did when it was 24, 25," Woods said after the TGL Finals. "It doesn't mean I'm not trying… I want to play. I love the tournament. I'm going to be there either way."

That right there is the spirit of a competitor who refuses to let his body write the final chapter.

Right now, all we know is that this happened, and details are still coming in. Our thoughts are with Tiger and everyone involved. We'll be keeping a close eye on this story as it develops.
