Allstar JR’s name is now officially tied to the NBA Ben10 shooting investigation.

The Detroit rapper, born Jeremy Ford, has reportedly been arrested by federal authorities and charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The Department of Justice has also released surveillance images from the incident, including one photo that allegedly shows JR standing over a man while firing a weapon.

The arrest comes after NBA Ben10 was shot at Confessions restaurant in Houston on April 8, following what police described as an attempted robbery. Authorities said several men attacked a man, now believed to be Allstar JR, and tried to take his jewelry before he managed to grab a gun and fire multiple shots.

At least two people were hit, including NBA Ben10. It remains unclear whether Ben10 or the second victim were among the men involved in the alleged attack. Police said JR left the scene before officers arrived.

Reports also claim Allstar JR was arrested while on his way to an interview with DJ Vlad.

The shooting had already spilled onto social media before the arrest. JR posted about the incident several times and appeared to taunt Ben10 afterward, even launching what he called the “Ben10 Challenge,” asking followers to crawl around on the floor.

NBA Ben10 was hospitalized after the shooting and is now said to be recovering.

With DOJ images now public and a federal charge filed, the case has moved beyond rap beef and internet trolling. What started as a chaotic Houston restaurant shooting is now a federal legal matter, and more details are expected to surface as the investigation continues.
